Straight laying: compare the edges

Rectangular surfaces, fixed orientation and no reuse of offcuts. This is an illustrative estimate, not a site installation plan.

Area estimates and cutting estimates

The format table divides net area plus your allowance by one tile’s area, then rounds to pieces and boxes. Joint width does not reduce this conservative area estimate. Box contents and prices must match the actual product.

The laying diagram counts each grid cell as one tile without reusing any offcut. It applies your extra reserve to that count, then rounds to boxes. It can differ from the area table: these are alternative estimates, not quantities to add together.

Centered and edge-first

Edge-first starts with a full tile. Centered laying balances the two edge cuts, unless the grid fits exactly. No perimeter movement joint is subtracted. The drawing does not handle diagonal laying, obstacles or irregular walls.

Check the site

Verify actual tile dimensions, joints, walls and the final cutting plan before purchasing. The diagram is limited to 50 m sides, tiles of at least 5 cm and 10,000 cells.
